“Gujarat Business Excellence Awards” has been initiated by Manufacturers & Exporters Association of India jointly with Gujarat Industry Development Association and SME Chamber of India to recognise their unique ideas, concepts and efforts for business growth, more profitability, consistency in business, better performance, development diversification & expansion in business & industrial activities, technological development, obtaining patents & trademarks, protecting product design for securing the inventions & interest, value addition services for industrial automation, industrial innovations and its commercialisation, quality productivity, enhancement of competency and capacities for global competitiveness, economic and employment growth, also emphasising on new entrepreneurship generation, skilling unskilled manpower, upliftment of young & women entrepreneurs, environment protection, water conservation, industrialisation in rural areas, availing of benefits and advantages of Government policies and schemes for better business growth & expansion. The eminent entrepreneurs, industrialists, enterprises, corporates, SMEs, business tycoons, institutions and start-ups, who are hailing from Gujarat and operating business in Gujarat, other parts of India and overseas as well as their contributions in literature, cultural and religious philanthropic activities but should not be related to political activities.
